The dark rings under the eyes and the lines on the forehead, nose and edges of the mouth must be covered with a light shade.
To apply first put a small blob of foundation on the palm and rub it on the face with a piece of cotton swab that has been dipped in toning lotion. This will give a natural appearance.
After application of the foundation peer deeply into the mirror and note the contours of the face. Is the face too round, the nose broad or the jaw heavy? A darker shade will lessen these drawbacks.
Use a darker shade on the sides of the face if it is too round.
- Do the same with a heavy jaw line applying the darker shade on it.
- For the broad nose apply darker shade on either side of the nostrils
. - Application of a darker shade below the eyes will do away with the hollow look.
Necks and ears too need attention.
Powdering
Semi transparent powder is ideal because it gives the sheer effect of a veil but does not fully cover. It is best if you decide on a matt effect. Do the powdering with a brush. Pull the powder downwards.
