Powder puff and cotton balls
The puff and the cotton wool are used to brush off the extra powder from the face. Care must be taken to keep these clean.
Face Makeup Sponges
There are three types of sponges –natural, synthetic and the variety with wedges. The first two have to be made wet before using. Wedge otherwise known as rubber triangles are used without moistening. For the beginning these are indispensable.
Cotton buds
Cotton buds are used to mop up mascara drops from places where they should not be like the cheeks. It has to be pressed on the offending spot and turned on its point to do the necessary work.
Tissue
Perfumed moist tissues are often used to freshen up during the day. There are also dry tissues that remove any extra oil from the face, blots the lips to give a matted effect after applying lipstick.
