The Right makeup Base and Makeup Foundation

Determining the right  makeup base or makeup foundation can be a trying exercise. It has to be guided by the type and color of the skin. The tone of the base must be as close to the color of the skin as possible.

Cream foundation for oily skin

For dry skin the best is a cream foundation.

The cake variety tends to dry the skin and hence suitable only for oily skin. It can be used for the purpose of light touching up. Cream makeup foundation looks marvelous under artificial stage lights. The tinted fluid makeup base provides a uniform look to the skin. It is the best choice for evening outings.

For oily skin the best choice will be a water based makeup foundation. It quickly gets dry and so has to be blended in swiftly; otherwise the appearance will become blotchy.  The choice of foundation is important in so much as that it must suit the original skin color and tone. A shade darker or lighter may be chosen but a wide variation will make the wearer look unnatural. Blemishes may be hidden with the use of a medicated stick. This medicated sticks can also cure pimples. It an also come in handy for lightening dark shadows. This has to be done before the application of the foundation. Care should be taken that one does not look too painted up.
